Flood Watch issued October 1 at 6:55PM CDT until October 2 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado and Washington. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy downpours will impact the watch area through Friday evening. Embedded training rain rates of 2-4 inches per hour will be possible with the deep tropical airmass overhead. Locations that experience training storms with heavier rainfall rates may experience rapid runoff that could result in flash flooding. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
